Jody Halloran is the Practice Administrator for the Reproductive Medicine and Surgery Center. She was born in Asheville, North Carolina and has lived in Charlottesville for 18 years. She is married and a mother of two children. Jody completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration in May 2014. Jody has been with the Reproductive Medicine practice for a total of 13 years and thoroughly enjoys interacting closely with patients and the staff. She has extensive experience in administrative management and accounting. Jody has also obtained her Certified Professional Coding certification. Her passion at RMSCVA is to make sure that customer service is at the highest level possible. Jody’s organization and customer service skills allow her to manage the RMSCVA staff so that your experience will be the best that it can be.
Michele Eavey is the Billing Analyst for Reproductive Medicine and Surgery Center of Virginia. She was born in Staunton and grew up in Highland County. Michele has over 10 years of experience in the medical field. She resides in Staunton with her husband and two children. Other interests include traveling, scrapbooking, reading and gardening.
Jocelyn Fleming is an Administrative Assistant for Reproductive Medicine and Surgery Center of Virginia. She was born in Charlottesville and grew up in the beautiful County of Nelson. She is the proud parent of 3 daughters. Jocelyn joined our team in December 2005 and has been a friendly smile for our patients. She enjoys getting to know the patients and making them feel like family while in our care. Outside of work Jocelyn enjoys reading, shopping and spending time with her family.
Paige Herndon is an Administrative Assistant for Reproductive Medicine and Surgery Center of Virginia. She was she was born, raised and still resides in Greene County. Paige is the mother to two daughters and has two grandsons as well. Paige worked with the Reproductive Technology lab in the past and joined our team in September of 2014. Paige loves to work outdoors in her flower gardens and enjoys decorating and crafts.
Jenny Samuels is the newest addition to Reproductive Medicine and Surgery Center of Virginia, joining us in April of 2014. She is an administrative assistant and enjoys helping patients, as well as staff and being a positive part in everyone's day. Born and raised in Charlottesville, Jenny attended Lynchburg College where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. She is a married mother of two sons. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and cooking.
Jennifer McCauley, RN graduated with a B.S. in Biology from James Madison University in 1995, and an A.D.N in Nursing from Blue Ridge Community College in 2006. Her interest in Women’s Health began in 1997, when she began as a Clerical Specialist on the Maternal/Child Health unit at Augusta Health in Fishersville. Inspired to pursue a nursing career after several years in that environment, she spent a year on a medical/surgical unit before returning to the Maternal/Child Health unit in 2007. She has four children whom she loves to spend time with, as well as two rambunctious felines. She is active in the Louisa Rotary Club, is a member of the Holy Rollers United Methodist Cycling Club, and is an assistant Youth leader at church. In her spare time she enjoys road and mountain biking, cooking new and interesting dishes, reading American literature (especially Southern novels) and spending time at the lake. IVF Nurses
Bonnie Reilly, RN attended the University of Virginia and received two degrees, a B.A. in Biology and later a B.S. in Nursing. In 1981 she began her career in Women’s Health at the University of Virginia’s Inpatient GYN Unit and became Clinical Head Nurse. In 1986, she helped found the IVF Program at UVA with Dr. Bateman and Dr. Thomas, and was the program’s first IVF Nurse Coordinator. Bonnie came to Martha Jefferson Hospital in 2005 with The Reproductive Medicine and Surgery group to initiate the IVF program. She is married, has two sons and has a passion for food and fine cookery.
Stephanie Barrix, RN graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from Waynesburg University in Pennsylvania. She has 8 years experience as a Labor and Delivery Nurse and spent 2 years of her nursing career as a Nursing Supervisor of an Endoscopy Center. Stephanie is married and has a daughter. Outside of work Stephanie enjoys spending time with her family, the outdoors and shopping.
Dr. Ted Thomas is the Laboratory Director for the Reproductive Medicine and Surgery Center of Virginia. Dr. Thomas, a native of Pennsylvania, completed degree programs at Lafayette College (B.A.), the University of Vermont (M.S.), and the University of Virginia (Ph.D.). He concluded his training with a post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Connecticut. He joined Dr. Bateman in founding the In Vitro Fertilization Program at the University of Virginia in 1986 and directed the IVF lab there until 2005 when the program relocated to the Martha Jefferson Hospital. He has been affiliated with the RMSCVA since 2013. He is certified as a High Complexity Laboratory Director (HCLD) by the American Board of Bioanalysis with specialization in embryology. Dr. Thomas is active in the American Society for Reproductive Medicine and the College of Reproductive Biology of the American Association of Bioanalysts. He is married with two children, one grandchild, and enjoys traveling, literature, horticulture, and fly fishing.
Jessica Rebert was born and raised in Long Island, New York. Her travels took her to Pennsylvania where she earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Small Animal Science from Delaware Valley College, and to Phoenix, AZ where she began her reproductive laboratory career at the Mayo Clinic in 2001. Jessica joined the Assisted Reproduction Program at the University of Virginia in 2002 and made the transition with Drs. Bateman, Williams and Thomas to Martha Jefferson Hospital in 2005. In 2012 Jessica earned her Masters of Science degree in Andrology and Embryology from Eastern Virginia Medical School and has continued her career with the Reproductive Medicine and Surgery Center of Virginia. Jessica and her husband are the proud parents of two children.
Krista Traynor was born and raised in Massachusetts. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from Elms College. Krista began her career in assisted reproduction in 1998 at Baystate Reproductive Medicine in Springfield, MA. She became certified as a Technical Supervisor in Embryology and Andrology from the American Board of Bioanalysis in 2005. In 2006, Krista joined the Center for Advanced Reproductive Services at the University of Connecticut Health Center as a senior embryologist. She joined the Assisted Reproduction Program at Martha Jefferson Hospital in 2011 and has been affiliated with RMSCVA since 2013. Krista is the proud parent of two children.
Kimberly Nagle is a native of Delaware. Attending Wingate University in North Carolina she earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Biology followed by a Master’s of Science from The University of Tennessee in Reproductive Physiology and Embryology. Upon completion of graduate school, Kimberly joined the assisted reproduction team at Martha Jefferson Hospital in August of 2011 and became affiliated with RMSCVA in 2013. Her interests include running, snowboarding, the beach, and SEC football.
Procedure Room Nurses
Joan Parks, RN is the nurse manager for the procedure room in the lab. She is a graduate of the Richmond Memorial Hospital School of Professional Nursing. Joan worked for 25 years as a labor & delivery nurse in VA and NH. In 2003, she assisted in the opening of the Fertility Clinic of N.E. at Portsmouth (NH) Regional Hospital. Joan joined the MJH Assisted Reproduction Program in 2008 and became affiliated with RMSCVA in 2013. Her hobbies include gardening, golf, and playing bridge. She is married, has 2 children, a granddaughter, a Maine Coon cat, and a Labradoddle.
Lyn Deane-Harris, RN is a Charlottesville, VA native but lived in NC, CA and FL before returning "home" in 1999. She holds a Bachelor’s in Arts in English literature from Stanford University (1971), a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from UVa (1976) and an MA in Counseling Psychology (licensed in FL) from the University of West Florida (1986). Lyn spent 3 years on active duty with the US Navy Nurse Corps and 6 more years in the Reserves. She has worked in a variety of nursing and counseling settings. Lyn joined the MJH Assisted Reproduction Program in 2011 and became affiliated with RMSCVA in 2013. Lyn is married and has 2 daughters.
Barbara Sauer, RN earned a Bachelor’s in Science in Nursing at the University of Virginia in 1994 after previously earning a Bachelor’s in Science in Animal Science from Purdue University in 1980. A native of Indiana, she, her husband and two children moved to Virginia in 1989. Barb worked as a pediatric nurse at UVA for 12+ years before making the transition to Reproductive Medicine. Outside of work, Barb enjoys spending time with her grandchildren, running, reading, church activities, baking and being the #1 fan of Virginia Rowing. She truly enjoys the patients and "team" that make Reproductive Medicine such a wonderful place to work.
